Memorial Trees

Inside Crosshouse & Ayr Hospitals

Copper Tree / Heart Plaques

During 2018, we installed a beautiful copper memorial love tree in the Sanctuary room (previously known as the Chapel) at Crosshouse Hospital, this tree holds little heart shaped brass plaques which are engraved with the name and date of birth / passing of our precious babies.

Due to the popularity of this tree, in the summer of 2020 we installed another one in the Sanctuary room (previously known as the Chapel) at Ayr hospital.

Corten Steel Tree / Leaf Plaques

We had been contacted by a number of bereaved parents who asked if we could have a tree in a non-religious place.  To answer this request, and after months of discussions, we decided to go for an outside setting.  So in the Autumn 2020, we purchased a 120cm corten steel memorial tree to be mounted onto a concrete bass in Corsehill Park, Ayr.  This tree holds little leaf shaped anodised aluminium plaques which are engraved with the name and date of birth / passing of our precious babies.

Due to the pandemic, works were delayed, but we are happy to report that the tree has now been mounted, the base has been tiled and after a small dedication service during BLAW2021 the leaves have started to be attached.
